Buttery Palmiers with Cinnamon Sugar
I had a batch of puff pastry I made a while back, and it was time I needed to use it up. I decided to make delicious buttery palmiers with cinnamon sugar. They are quick and easy to make and everyone will love them.
Use store-bought, ready-rolled, butter puff pastry for a quick cheat. They are perfect for general snacking or afternoon tea.

Vegan Gluten-Free Oat & Berry Bars
On Saturday, I whipped up two loaves of Roquefort bread, granola and these vegan gluten-free oat & berry bars. I still had enough time to prep loads of veggie skewers for our barbecue dinner.
These bars are oaty, chewy and chock-full of berries. They contain no refined sugar and won’t give those annoying pangs afterwards. They are satisfying and taste really wholesome. The bars aren’t overly sweet and the berries have just the right amount of tartness, to make the bar really good.

Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Cookies
This is probably one of the easiest recipes that produce the most wonderful peanut butter cookies, that you’ll ever encounter.
They’re also gluten-free and simply full of peanut-ty goodness.

Hazelnut-Butter Cookies
These slightly sweet cookies have a wonderful aroma from the roasted hazelnuts, that shine through with a buttery melt-in-the-mouth richness. They are another one of my favorite hostess gifts I like to make, and they are sure to please.

Viennese Fingers
This is one of my recipes that I usually dig out when we need a host/hostess gift. I love to package them in a cellophane bag, tie it with a red bow and pop an ingredients tag onto it.
The trick to a good Viennese finger is the butter. Use the best European butter you can find/afford for this recipe.
These Viennese fingers are slightly crisp, buttery and melt in the mouth. They are quick to make, taste delicious, and the recipient will certainly thank you for them.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies
This is a slightly modified version of Chewy Chocolate Chip & Walnut Cookies. I substituted some peanut butter for butter, which added a new depth of flavor. What could be better than peanut butter with chocolate???
The recipe is definitely a keeper - they are slightly crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside and full of choco-peanutty goodness.

Chewy Chocolate Chip & Walnut Cookies
I’m not a cookie person. I’ll eat one once in a while, but I just don’t crave those big, sugar and fat laden, chewy cookies.
When I saw this recipe for Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie, I naturally had to try a batch to see what all the fuss was about. I mean with 4 ½ stars over 4000 reviews? Surely, they must be something to write home about.

Almond Cookies
This recipe was found in one my Chinese recipe books; however, I know the French also do something very similar. Almond cookies comes in all shapes and sizes, with this simple recipe, you're greeted with a crisp, bite-sized almond cookie, that's almond-infused and lightly sweet. They're delicious with tea or coffee.
